The Baseline Blitz competition between Northville Public Schools and Novi Community School District is heating up as both communities prepare for the highly anticipated Baseline Blitz Tailgate and rivalry football game this Friday, October 18th, at Northville’s Football Stadium.
The friendly competition between the two school districts’ educational foundations has been a race to see who can raise the most money to support their students, staff, and schools. The Baseline Blitz 5K Walk/Run, which took place Sunday, October 13th, brought out dozens of participants who hit the track for their schools. But the competition isn’t over yet! Every donation still counts as the final tally approaches.
The tailgate event is set to kick off at 5:30 PM before the Northville Mustangs face off against the Novi Wildcats on the football field. Families can enjoy food, tailgate games, face painting, and even meet Roary, the Detroit Lions mascot. The atmosphere is expected to be electric as the community comes together for one last push to support Northville in this fundraising battle.
During halftime, the winner of the Baseline Blitz will be announced, with bragging rights and a special trophy on the line. The district that raises the most funds will claim victory in this exciting showdown of school pride and community spirit.
Donations can still be made through the Northville Educational Foundation's website, and raffle tickets are available for purchase. The Northville raffle winner will receive school swag, the chance to bring two friends to sit in the end zone couch during the game, and an opportunity to participate in the football throw game for a shot at a $100 gift card.
Don’t miss out on this thrilling evening of school spirit, friendly competition, and fun! Head over to Northville’s football stadium this Friday to support your Mustangs and cheer on Northville in the Baseline Blitz.
